Join us this summer as we head to the mighty mountain Ben Nevis for a summer ascent of the UK's highest! With the option of following the CMD track or Taking the easier tourist track with both options available to all to ensure an amazing climb for you personally.
Accommodation: Àite Cruinnichidh
We have hired out the whole of the Àite Cruinnichidh hostel which sits just a 20 minute drive from the base of Ben Nevis, this is exclusive use for Second Life Outdoors and there won't be any other guests there. Rooms sleep 4 and 6 people and each adventurer will have a single sex room.
Arrival time: From 3:00pm on the Friday
The Climb
All adventurers will have the choice of either doing the CMD Arete route or the traditional tourist track route. The CMD route being lead by our senior ML and RCI Tony Riley to ensure maximum safety and the tourist track being guided by our head of adventure and highly experienced mountaineer and outdoorsman Rhys Garrard. You do not need to decide about the route until the Friday evening. More information can be found on the trusted source below.

Itinarery
Friday 23rd August - Meet at Accommodation
Check in is from 3:00pm where are Guides will be there eagerly awaiting you. You can check in at any time on Friday and our guides will be there to meet you and help you settle in. Dinner will be served at 7:30pm along with a briefing about the following day at around 9:00 pm
Saturday 24th August - The Big Ben!
Both groups will depart at 5:30am with the aim to start the climb at 6:00am, this way we beat the crowds and you will get to see Nevis in all its glory. The day will entail a climb of the Ben with the option of a wild swim in the Lochan that sits at 600m on the way back down.
Once down adventurers will be able to head into fort william for some time with a BBQ planned for 7:00pm on the night to celebrate a successful climb of the UK's highest mountain.
Sunday 25th August - Check out and Hike option
Check out is 10:00am and adventurers will have the option to join our guides on a short hike and swim in the local area which will be decided closer to the time.
