Weekly adventures –
These include most of our adventures here at Second Life Outdoors. Cancellation for these adventures is fully refundable 7 days before the event takes place, within 7 days we cannot offer a refund for the adventure. Full refunds will be offered if the event is postponed or cancelled by Second Life Outdoors due to unforeseen reasons.
Courses –
This includes our navigation courses and any other courses run by Second Life Outdoors. Cancellation 7 days before will receive a full refund, within 7 days we cannot offer a refund and can only offer a change of date or voucher.
UK Trips –
All deposits paid towards UK trips are non refundable, these deposits are sometimes built into the overall cost and will be stated in the description of the trip. All trips should be fully paid within 6 weeks of travel or you risk losing your place and money paid. If you have made several monthly payments but need to cancel we can refund 50% of the paid amount less the deposit if you let us know in writing within 10 weeks of departure, up to 8 weeks before travel we can only refund 25% of paid less deposit, after 8 weeks no refunds can be made.
International trips –
This covers any trip which takes place outside of the United Kingdom. Some specific international trips (Those longer than 14 days) will have their own policies and terms which will be made clear at purchase.If no specific policy is in place the international trip falls under these terms.
Payments –
All trips should be fully paid within 6 weeks of travel or you risk losing your place and money paid. In the event a cancellation is made by Second Life Outdoors a full refund will be issued
Flight delays and strandings –
In the event your trip is delayed on outward or inbound travel out of the control of Second Life Outdoors, it is down to you the adventurer to have appropriate travel insurance to claim back any extra expenses incurred which fall outside the inclusion of the trip.
In any delay or stranding event you will still have full use and access of your Second Life Outdoors guide who will organise and offer options to all adventurers. You do not have to organise any resolutions and this is solely down to your in country guide and our operations team in the UK.
Second Life Outdoors will also cover all extra costs incurred for the immediate on the understanding of adventurers being invoiced and paying back any extras paid for by Second Life Outdoors. Every cost will be explained to adventurers before any steps are taken.
These invoices can then be used with travel insurance companies to make claims. We also work in full cooperation through this process to make it as easy as possible for all parties involved.
Forms and information –
Before any adventure, all participants will be sent a form where you can disclose; all medical conditions, allergies, next of kin and any other important information. Your guide will have access to this information and it is down to you the participant to ensure all information is correct.
All forms submitted are kept secured and only your event guide has access to this information. After the event the forms are destroyed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
