Day 1 - Travel to Iceland
Today will be spent journeying to the land of fire and ice, leaving the wet and windy UK behind in
search of a snow kissed paradise and the dancing green lights of an aurora borealis. Our
accommodation is a luxury Icelandic villa, sat on the famous golden circle, putting us in prime
position to experience “True Iceland” leaving the city lights behind. This also allows us to watch
for the Northern lights every single night from our own private jacuzzi!
Day 2 - Black sand Plane Wreck, waterfalls and geothermal pools
This day is a mix of history, natural beauty and of course hot Icelandic mountain pools too!
Starting with a drive through Iceland's stunning scenery down to the South of the island, here we
take on a two hour round journey to the infamous crashed DC-3. The crew made an emergency
landing in 1983 and now this stunning spectacle still sits in position today, a truly jaw dropping
site in this land of snow and fire. This day is then followed by two famous waterfalls (Skógafoss,
Seljalandsfoss) and a night spent in the mountain hot pools known as Hrunalaug Hot Spring
Day 3 - Europe's biggest waterfall, geysers, glacial water, plunge pool spa
Today we stay local, hitting up all the incredible sights which are within 30 minutes of our front
door. First we begin by exploring Gullfoss… the BIGGEST waterfall in the whole of europe!
Taking the opportunity to explore this incredible sight and learn about the 1.8 million litres of
water which can pass over it every single second. Geysers soon follow on with this day along
with a view point hike offering a fantastic panorama of the entirety of South Iceland. Finally
ending with a wander to the glacial waters of Bruarfoss, no tourist coaches here, just true
explorers of Iceland.
The evening is spent in a hot pool spa near our lodge which ranges in temperatures of 38-40
celsius…Then why not take on the spirit of the Icelanders by simply jumping in the ice-covered
lake to finish off this incredible experience? The spa has its own private access to this
ice-covered plunge pool for your own enjoyment
Day 4 - Reykjavik, Shark, and Sky lagoon!
On your final day we head to Reykjavik where you will have a few hours to explore this capital
city as you wish, guided by an interactive city map built by Second Life Outdoors to help you see
the best sites of your own terms. After a fun filled day we meet up at a local restaurant where the
adventurous will have the chance to try shark, whale and even puffin! Along with an entirely
normal menu of delicious western food too. That’s when we end our evening by heading to one
of the most luxurious spas in the arctic circle… Sky lagoon! Geothermal infinity pools which end
on the North Atlantic ocean, with a built in cave bar and of course a geothermal waterfall too.
Day 5 - Home time!
Time to leave this amazing country behind and head home.
